RFID book management technology makes reading easier!

With the rapid progress of the times, the culture of learning has become more developed, and the phenomenon of knowledge economy has become increasingly prominent. Various libraries have become frequent destinations for consulting services. However, due to the large variety of books, the huge number, and the quick turnaround of borrowing and reading, etc., the staff are troubled by various major phenomena. RFID book intelligent management technology adopts automatic identification technology and radio frequency communication technology, non-contact automatic identification technology. In recent years, RFID technology has attracted the attention of libraries. RFID book management technology makes reading easier!

The RFID "intelligent collection system" includes a series of automated management systems such as the librarian service system, the chip conversion system, the self-checking system, the self-returning system, the collection inventory system, and the passage detection system. Each book is affixed with an RFID tag, and an RFID inspection machine is installed at the exit of the library. When someone leaves the library with RFID-tagged books or other media materials that have not been inspected, the RFID inspection machine will sound an alarm. If someone tries to avoid the alarm and take the book away, the library can still track the book and put it in place.

Advanced service model

After entering the library, readers can first retrieve the book status on the self-service equipment. Borrowing books is self-service. Readers put the selected books in front of the automatic lending machine and pay their own "all-in-one card". The machine will automatically scan and then print out the loan slip. When returning a book, just put the book in the "book slot" of the automatic book return box, and the system will automatically recognize the book and process it. In the link of borrowing and returning the book, the staff has very little time to intervene. The counter workstation can be at the same time Handle borrowing and returning books, and can handle other more complex tasks, such as: renewal, fines, etc. The self-service inquiry system outside the library is available 24 hours a day. The reading of e-books and periodicals, as well as the search of electronic materials Very convenient.

In the library inventory, librarians only need to hold the inventory inventory system and move it across the bookshelves to read. The inventory time is very short. It originally took several people and months of work. One person can complete it in half a day. It is easy to find books that are not in the bookshelf or messy shelves, which greatly saves manpower and material resources, and allows employees more time to provide help to readers or add more service items.

RFID electronic tags have more advantages than barcodes:

Data can be updated: After the barcode is printed, it cannot be changed, and the RFID electronic label can add, modify, and delete the data stored in the label without limitation.

Convenient data reading: The bar code reader can be read only when the scanning light source is irradiated on the bar code when the bar code reader is close and there is no obstruction. RFID tags can transmit signals as long as they are within the range of radio waves.

Large storage data capacity: One-dimensional bar code is 50 bytes, the maximum capacity of two-dimensional bar code can store 2 to 3000 bytes; the maximum capacity of RFID tags can reach several megabytes.

Reusable: The bar code ends with the end of the product's life; the RFID tag can be reused because its data can be updated.

Fast scanning speed: It can read several data at the same time, and the barcode reader can only read a single barcode data at a time; the RFID tag recognizer can recognize multiple tags at the same time.

Good security: RFID tag reading is protected by a password, and high-security protection measures make it difficult to be forged.

Durability: Generally, barcodes made of traditional paper or plastic materials are sometimes difficult to recognize due to damage caused by rain or damp environment and during transportation. RFID has the characteristics of being repeatedly used hundreds of thousands or even millions of times, and its material can be placed in a relatively harsh environment, so it is more durable than barcodes and naturally costs less.

Small size: Traditional magnetic barcodes are limited in size and are not easy to be embedded on smaller items. RFID is not the case, its mini size can be hidden in various objects.

The implementation of RFID management technology can realize self-service borrowing and return of books, quick inventory operations, anti-theft access control, etc. The library inventory work will save a lot of manpower and time. RFID has the characteristics of wireless real-time data transmission, which can quickly read multiple tags at the same time, making the inventory work truly fast, accurate and efficient. Using RFID reading and writing equipment, readers can complete borrowing and returning books on their own, so that the library can increase the circulation rate and simplify the borrowing process with limited human resources, thereby improving the quality of library staff and library services.
